Style Guide: Stock Up On These Transitional Denim Pieces

Will denim ever truly go out of style? I'm asked this a lot, and the honest answer is I think not!

Whether you're rocking a jacket, jeans, a skirt, or any other article of denim clothing, this fabric has proven its resiliency no matter the current trends or season. And while we do love a laid-back vibe from time to time, there are certain ways we suggest you incorporate this classic fabric into your everyday wear so that you keep your style polished.

Let's check out a few transitional denim looks you might want to try...

Denim Jacket

The number one staple, after classic jeans of course, is a denim jacket. When fitted and styled properly, a denim jacket is the ideal piece to add a touch of casual to any look. You can dress an outfit down to fit in with your surroundings, or this jacket can serve as the perfect coverup on those evenings when we start to feel a slight chill in the air. Experiment with rolling up the sleeves, wearing it over your shoulders, or perhaps dressing it up with a floral necktie.

And don't hesitate rocking your denim jacket with a glitzy dress - this is the ideal fashion mix up. Just take a cue from Lauren's fab look below!

Denim Dress

Despite what might initially come to mind, denim doesn't have to be heavy and hot. Thinner versions of this fabric are ideal for a summer dress, which can be easily paired with Converse sneakers or flat sandals for an effortless cool look through the rest of summer. Hold on to this little ruffled number as the air starts to cool, because this dress also pairs perfectly with your favorite ankle booties and a light scarf!

Chambray

Chambray is known for being a bit more airy than denim, while offering a similarly effortless look. A classic chambray button down is simply perfection when you are looking for something to take you from work to an evening of fun. Simply throw on some heels (if you weren't wearing them already), some sparkly costume jewelry, grab a clutch and you're good to go! Cute, simplistic, effortless, and seriously stylish is always a plus in my fashion book!
