Travel Guide: How To Survive Holiday Travel In Style

Do you enjoy travel? I'm not referring to the good stuff - the part when you arrive at your destination and it's all fun and games. I'm talking about the actual process of getting from A to B!

Personally, I used to hate travel; of course, I loved arriving, but planes, trains and automobiles? No thanks! But then I had an epiphany - a travel fashion epiphany if you will ;) I decided that if I was going to travel, I should at least make the most of it and use it as an excuse to pull together some chic yet comfy styles, making the process easier all around. Genius!

It worked for me, and so I'm going to share my secrets with you, hopefully helping you survive your holiday travel without stress this month!

The Perfect Carry-On

Staying comfortable while you travel isn't just about what you wear; it's about how you carry your belongings as well. Being laden down with heavy bags is no fun. A small roller, carry-on bag is the perfect choice here, because it saves your back and looks effortless at the same time. Of course, you need a handbag for those items you'll need mid-flight, and this 'Dianne' Convertible Tote/Backpack is the ideal choice - function and fashion at its finest!

Never Fail In All Black

Personally, I love to travel in black. Not only does it look effortlessly chic no matter where you are headed, but it is wonderfully slimming AND you don't have to worry about it getting dirty as you hop around from airport to airport. These J Brand skinny jeans are an ideal closet staple, and if you team them with a chic top, like this Helmut Lang off the shoulder number, you'll be turning heads for all the right reasons!

Go Sporty With A Little Spice

Traveling has it perks when you consider that you can go as casual as you'd like without any concerns or judgements. Of course, we don't ever recommend dressing sloppily, but comfort is everything, especially on long journeys, so embrace it! These ALO high-waisted leggings paired with this surprisingly chic Nike stretch-jersey turtleneck offer the ideal combo to look both relaxed and stylish. Of course, your shoes should match this sporty vibe, but be sure to leave your beat up gym shoes as home!

Hydration Is Key

Travel can dry out your skin, making your complexion look dull and leaving you with annoying, dry skin patches. I always, always, always have a large water bottle on hand to hydrate from the inside out, but I also recommend an external moisturizer to nip those trouble spots before, during, and after travel. I love Tula's line of products - check it out for yourself and see how silky soft your skin feels afterwards.
