Regular readers of this blog will know that I love summer! From tanning to sunsets, flirty dresses to accessories, I adore everything that summer has to offer. Now, simply because the heat is on and the sun is shining doesn't necessarily mean that your make up has to suffer. In fact, summer is the ideal time to go bold!
From a bright red lip to dramatic winged eyeliner with attitude, you can easily mix up those flirty and fun summer outfits to instantly transition your outfit from office to evening!
Practice makes perfect, so get your artistic drawing skills on point before you venture out of the house, but overall, these summer makeup looks are much easier to master than they initially appear.
Bright & Bold
The sun is shining so why not dress up as brightly as the sun itself?! Pair your vivid outfits with equally bold make up, and a bright red lip is the ideal way to do it. Don't go for a cosmetic which is too glossy, as you'll be constantly checking your lips in the mirror for slippage and lipstick on your teeth. Instead, go for a matte consistency and blot well a few times before walking out the door!

Summer Edge
Boho chic is a trend that will never die, and summer is the ideal time to get flirty with pastels, lacy fabrics and flowing materials. Your make up, in this case, needs to be a bit edgy to counteract your feminine clothing, and you can master this with bold eyeliner, and again, a brightly colored lip. Make your brows equally as strong for a real style statement.

Summer Soiree
Classy is as classy does! Summer soirees mean a little glitz and glamour, and your make up needn't be played down. Red lips are another plus here, as well as a strong brow, but instead of going all out with the kohl rimmed eyes, play around with color - how about a brown or a navy blue to make your eyes really pop?
