It goes without saying, but sweaters are an absolute essential for the fall/ winter season. Variations of this knitted piece may come and go with the trends, but the sweater by definition will always be a cold weather staple. THE OVERSIZED SWEATER
My go-to for, well any occasion really, is the oversized sweater. It's warm, currently trending, and is flattering for every body type. I typically throw mine over leggings and boots, and I love how Courtney takes what is typically a casual look and makes it absolutely FIERCE!! Her textured leggings + booties = perfection.

THE TURTLENECK SWEATER
Funny story, one of my best friends convinced me to wear a cream turtleneck sweater on date night a few weeks ago, and I was totally feeling it!! Prior to my turtleneck awakening I would have told you no way...unless you are in the Arctic tundra there is no need to be covered up to your chin. But, after giving it a shot I definitely see the potential. There is something subtly sexy about this sweater, especially when paired with cool accessories and fierce shoes as seen on Elshane who is killing this look below!! My style tip: Unlike the oversized sweater, try to avoid wearing a turtleneck with simple leggings and boots. This piece needs to be dressed up.

THE PRINTED SWEATER
This fall you should definitely try a printed sweater with eccentric or unusual motifs: ethnic, festive, geometric, etc. It will make you smile on those cold, dreary days. Also it's ideal for women with pear shaped silhouettes (wide hips, small bust and shoulders), as it balances out proportions by adding volume to the upper part of the body. Plus, who doesn't love a cool print?! Molly does a great job of making sure her look is far from tacky sweater party potential.

Also known as a the classic sweater, this look is super cozy and feminine. I love pairing a sweater with skirts and knee high boots, or mixed with leather pieces to add dimension and versatility. I'm loving Jenny's girly look below. The way she plays with lace is fantastic!
